Mother of Monsters

Mother of Monsters (and it's accompanying physical version, called Monster Care) is a prototype and experiment with different forms of gameplay. Here the Monsters are not to be hunted, collected or in any other way exploited. You take care of them until they learn how to take care of themselves.

This work is inspired by too many things to mention (although they are pretty obvious). We all grew up with games that asked us to interact with monsters in some way but like so many other things influenced by our culture of exploitation, they too expected us to treat the monsters like some kind of resource. No more!

You can raise Monsters in either the videogame version (by downloading the Mother of Monsters.exe file) or the pen-and-paper version (the Monster Care.pdf file).
